Creative Director & Luxury Designer, Chaz Jordan, started his impressive fashion career while studying in university with a focus on Information & Decision Science.
During his Junior year, Jordan began working in Chicago-based luxury concept store, RSVP co-owned by Virgil Abloh (now Menswear Head at Louis Vuitton) and Don C. (JustDon).
Infatuated with old world design & the opulence of Europe, Jordan moved to Paris in 2012 where he worked closely with a handful of the most coveted ateliers and suppliers; Au Courant in it’s true form was born. Au Courant was Chaz’s response to European’s effortless & elegant way of dressing for a more youthful demographic.
The Fashion brand told a monochromatic color story coupled with clean lines and rich fabrications while adding a hint of his street upbringing. In just 2 seasons, the brand held the attention of top boutiques and media publications around the globe, Au Courant was his first of many great successes in fashion.
Ready for his next project, Jordan returned to the United States to relocate to Los Angeles, CA.
Late 2014, Jordan took on an integral part as Creative Director of the establishment of Will I Am’s fashion umbrella. Chaz utilized his innate fashion sense and relationships to help in developing Will I Am’s lifestyle brand from its infancy. Aside from the brand’s design element, Chaz and Will’s internal team produced personal wardrobe for appearances & commercials during their partnership. Ex. Wall Street Journal, NBA, etc.
In 2015, IH N UH NIT’s premier collection launched in Paris under the helm of Chaz Jordan with a well curated 20 piece collection which incorporated unexpected luxury textiles, exotic skins & a tonal color palette. IH NOM UH NIT’s ethos has always been the interesting juxtaposition of simple clean lines paired with his eye for opulent fabrications and textures. IH NOM UH NIT epitomizes effortless couture with an adaptive mind set - The line ranges from Exotic skins & furs, hand-beaded pearl couture pieces to relaxed sweat suits and graphic tees which amassed a global cult-like following in 2017.
Jordan's current interests lie in the intersection of art, music, fashion, film and uniquely blurs these lines with each collection. In just four seasons, the brand has landed fashion covers and a slew of avid celebrity fans alike. Moving forward, IH NOM UH NIT is enthusiastic in their upcoming top-tier brand collaborations & licensing deals in the works which will launch mid 2018. The fashion house will also be expanding their offerings to encompass 3 signature shoes & a full accessory range.
